The final result is:
Tasmanian Governor Peter Underwood released a statement this afternoon (Thu Apr 8, 2010) saying he had asked Mr Bartlett (Labor) to form minority government. Click here for link
With a swing AGAINST Labor of 12.1%, most people expected that the Liberal party would be given the position of Government. But this was not to be the case.
Mr Hodgman (Liberal Leader) said Mr Bartlett (Labor leader) had broken his promise to the Tasmanian people.
Numbers of Seats 10 Labor with 37.1% of the vote 10 Liberal with 39.0% of the vote 5 Greens with 21.3% of the vote
Labor retain power, even though Liberal had more votes.
