    Banking survey

A recent survey by the Finance Sector Union has shown that not everyone is dissatisfied with their bank in Australia. In fact, only 28% are dissatisfied .

    12% Very satisfied
    30% Satisfied
    30% Neutral
    20% Not Satisfied
    8% Very Dissatisfied

Satisfaction rating for some groups were:
    62% Credit Unions
    60% Regional Banks
    47% NAB
    42% average

What direction are the banks going in ?
25% thought their bank was going in the right direction.
43% think that the NAB is going in the right direction.
56% thought that Westpac were moving in the WRONG direction.

    Who they bank with:
    26% Commonwealth
    15% Westpac
    14% ANZ
    12% NAB
    10% Credit union

A similar survey carried out in 2008/09, with a different scoring system, shows how banks can change, notice the position of the NAB in both these surveys. (The higher score is the better satisfaction rating)

    84 Credit Union Australia
    84 Teachers Credit Union
    82 Bendigo Bank
    81 MECU
    80 ME Bank
    74 HSBC
    72 Bank of Queensland
    70 Suncorp
    69 Bankwest
    69 St George
    65 Westpac
    64 Commonwealth
    61 NAB

NAB appear to have moved from the absolute bottom position to above all the other main banks.

Westpac however, appear to have dropped from 3rd to bottom, to the absolute bottom position.
