More than 62,000 people living illegally in Australia, with Britain FOURTH highest.


Britain has the FOURTH highest number of Illegal Overstayers in Australia,

Britain is 4th behind China, Malaysia and the USA according to Australia’s Migration Trends 2012–13 report.

Australian Visitor Visa Overstayers by number in 2013

7,690 People’s Republic of China. DOWN -4.71% compared to 2011
6,420 Malaysia. UP   50.70% compared to 2011
5,220 United States of America. UP   2.35% compared to 2011
3,780 United Kingdom. UP   4.71% compared to 2011
3,430 India. UP   4.26% compared to 2011
2,790 Indonesia. UP   8.14% compared to 2011
2,780 Republic of Korea. UP   1.83% compared to 2011
2,390 Philippines. DOWN -0.42% compared to 2011
2,030 Vietnam. UP   21.56% compared to 2011
2,000 Thailand. UP  11.73%v

However, when looked at by percentage of total visitor visa holders, Britain comes further down the list. Some countries may be missing from this list as exact figures have not been easily available for some countries.
