Re-entry visa expiry

Question:
I am a permanent resident of 50 years in Australia and I am going overseas in April 2014. My re-entry visa expires in June 2014. Is there a requirement to have 6 months left on the visa or am I okay to leave and come back in on current visa. It is a short 10 day holiday.

Answer:
No problem with this. As long as you return before the Visa expires. The 6 month requirement is normally only for passports when entering an overseas country.
