Sandcastles Banned on Australian Beach

The newspapers and TV media are full of a story this week about a family told to stop building a sandcastle on the beach at the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

But… what a load of rubbish.

The actual true story was…

A family was digging a hole in the sand, in front of the lifeguards area and equipment, and they were asked to move a bit further away, so that any rescues would not be impeded by the location of the hole.

The family fully understood, and move further to the side.

End of story…
