The Seasons in Australia

• Summer begins on 1st December
  
• Autumn begins on 1st March
  
• Winter begins on 1st June
  
• Spring begins on 1st September

Australian Time Zones

• Eastern Standard Time (EST)
  
• Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
  
• Central Standard Time (CST)
  
• Central Daylight Time (CDT)
  
• Western Standard Time (WST)
  

Queensland stays on Eastern Standard Time all year, whilst the other Eastern States may use EST or EDT [AEDT] (the daylight savings version) during Summer.

South Australia and the Northern Territory use Central Standard Time (CST), although South Australia changes to Central Daylight Time (CDT) during Summer.

Western Australia uses Western Standard Time (WST), although during the recent trial of daylight savings they were on Western Daylight Time (WDT).
