The total available Australian Labour Force increased from 11,330,353 in August 2009 to 11,535,851 in September 2009.

This was an increase of 205,498 new workers in the country.

Unfortunately, only 178,742 new jobs were created in the month of September.

This left the remaining 26,756 available workers, who went into the unemployed group.

Queensland Unemployment

September 2009

The Total available Labour Force increased from 2,332,376 in August 2009 to 2,395,453 in September 2009.

This was an increase of 63,076 new workers in the State.

Unfortunately, only 32,186 New jobs were created in the month of September.

This left the remaining 30,890 available workers who went into the unemployed group.

EMPLOYED

  • Full Time
    • Male: Increase from 1,027,649 to 1,039,938
    • Female: Increase from 546,992 to 578,803
  • Part Time
    • Male: Increase from 170,051 to 174,283
    • Female: Decrease from 469,352 to 453,206

UNEMPLOYED

  • Looking for Full Time Work
    • Male: Increase from 53,364 to 65,956
    • Female: Increased from 37,612 to 50,398
  • Looking for Part Time Work
    • Male: Increase from 10,551 to 13,425
    • Female: Increased from 16,804 to 19,442
