We are providing links here, so that you can locate as much information as possible about individual suburbs and areas in Australia. Different people may have very different opinions on the same areas, as we are all individuals and have different wants and needs from an area. I have seen many arguments occur when people discuss specific locations, and would not want to say too much personally about one specific area, other than that I love my area. The individual State based forums may be a good place to discuss with other locals what an area has to offer, but remember to act only on specifics. One person who says that xyz area is just perfect and you should move there, may be in a totally different category to you. eg: Retired people, families with young children and the young active nightlife loving couples normally tend to have very different opinions on what area is best for them. A good place to check out the demographics of an area is Homepriceguide.com.au and click on "Demographics Snapshot". Here you can get information such as Age Statistics and what the % of rented property to owned property is for the area, etc. Another website to check the exact distance from a major City, or any other suburb in Australia is Travelmate.com.au.
