In 2009, the market share divided by the three providers was about:
- 10 million Telstra subscribers 40%
- 8 million Optus subscribers 32%
- 7 million Vodaphone (VHA) subscribers 28%
In 2003 the figures were:
- 6.6 million Telstra 46%
- 4.9 million Optus 34%
- 2.6 million Vodafone 18%
Both Telstra and Optus have dropped in market share, whilst Vodafone has increase substantially.
