And the answer is:
South Australian summer time is prescribed by regulation, under the Daylight Saving Act 1971, with the following rules:
South Australian summer time shall be one hour in advance of South Australian standard time.
From 1971 to 2008 Daylight savings begins at 2 a.m. South Australian standard time on the last Sunday in each October.
Daylight Savings ends at 2 a.m. South Australian standard time on the first Sunday in the following March.
However....
A change was made for 2008–2009 so that Daylight Savings would start three weeks earlier in South Australia as part of an ongoing trial. The trial period, which is from October 5, 2008 to April 5, 2009, sees a total extension of four weeks compared with the state’s previous daylight saving schedule.
