Post Price of Petrol in Australia

I just filled up my car with the standard unleaded 91 octane petrol.

$63.02 for 51.46 litres, so that's $1.249 per litre

The best price quoted in my general area today (10/06/11) was:
$1.339 Caltex/Woolworths Mount Cotton
$1.359 Coles Express Birkdale
$1.369 Ampol Cleveland
Figures from Motormouth Price Search

Mine was cheaper as I have a Woolworths Credit card, and I read my emails :)

Every so often we get emails where we have to apply for a discount, it takes 10 seconds, then the next we know is we get an extra discount at the pump. I got 10 cents off per litre today

However, my average cost has been $1.37 per litre for the last 3 months, with the highest price paid being $1.439 per litre.
