Long service leave (LSL) is a period of paid leave normally given to an employee after a period of 10 years continuous service with the employer.

The period of leave is normally 2 months paid holiday, and many people have used this to take an extended overseas holiday, especially when adding it to the normal annual leave.

For those people who do accumulate this LSL, it is effectively an accumulation of extra 6 days holiday per year for each of the 10 years worked.
