What happened in 2008?

The financial crisis of 2007–2008, also known as the Global Financial Crisis and 2008 financial crisis. This caused the British Pound, amongst other currencies, to crash when compared to the few stable currencies of that time, primarily the Australian and Canadian Dollars.

What happened in 2013?

2013 was a year of cautious economic recover in the West, and the British Pound began its recovery against the Australian Dollar.
