Medicare Teen Dental Plan

Medicare provides most children, aged 12 years of age or over, with anĀ Annual Voucher worth up to $163.05 (2012) and began at $150.00 in 2008, valid for a single Dental Check up/Treatment at any Dentist.

These Vouchers are issued each January, and must be used any time up to 31st December.

On 1 July 2008, the Australian Government introduced the Medicare Teen Dental Plan to help with the cost of an annual preventative dental check. The program aims to make it more affordable for eligible families to keep their teenagersā€™ teeth in good health.
