Australian Life Satisfaction rate 2015
Most Australians are satisfied with their lives in Australia according to a report released in June 2015 by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
The report showed that on average, Australians rate their overall life satisfaction as 7.6 out of 10.
Different groups have different satisfaction levels and some examples are:
7.7 – Couples who have children living with them
7.0 – one parent families
6.8 – the unemployed
6.6Â –Â people with a self-reported mental health condition
An indication why the Unemployed seem to be relatively satisfied, with a 6.8 satisfaction level, was this quote:
[nearly half of those who were unemployed lived in households that reported at least one cash flow problem in the last year, such as being unable to pay bills on time].
So, basically, at least half reported no real cash flow problems in the year.
