Speeding Penalty for 222 kph in a 100 zone

222 kph in a 100kph zone followed by Police helicopter

On the morning of 14th May 2016 the Police helicopter Pol Air 2 tracked a motorcycle allegedly travelling westbound at 222 kilometres per hour (138 mph) in a 100 kph zone (62 mph) on the Ipswich Motorway in Queensland.

A 22-year-old was issued with a traffic infringement notice and fined $1,099.
